Steps in creating your oral history

During our initial contact, we will discuss the scope of the project,
including:

who will be interviewed

where the interview will take place

the desired length of the interview

other media that you want to be included in the final production
(music, photos, old home movies).

topics that you would like to have discussed in the interview

your vision for what the final product will look like.

Following our initial meeting and at a time that is convenient for you,
we will come to your home to record the interview. We set up a
small film studio right in your living room!

We recommend that someone close to the person being interviewed
serve as the interviewer, as the chemistry between these two
people are so much a part of what makes the oral history special. If
desired, Sockeye Video productions can provide an interviewer.

Once the video interview is completed and we have gathered any
other media you would like included, we will get started on editing
your production. Music, titles and effects are added to enhance
your story. The final product is presented to you on a personalized
DVD that incorporates the best of digital video technology and our
artistic eye.
